An Afternoon Joust - Pixel Art Jam 2024 Submission

This is my submission for the GB Pixel Art Jam 2024. 

After going to a renaissance fair and watching "A Knights Tale", I had jousting on the mind when I started the jam. The knights and horses took a long time and I like them a lot but my favorite sprite was the one I made the fastest; the little troubadours in front of the King and Queen! They're so endearing to me and I think they're addition was when I finally felt confident in this submission.

I used the Blood Tide color palette for this entry. I really liked the pop of red for some of the UI elements which was ultimately why I chose it over the other palette options.

 I spent an embarrassingly long time on the font for this piece but I'm pretty happy with it in the end. Plus I can always use more font practice!
